Data Ethics challenge

The challenge

As the use of data becomes more prevalent and complex, and the trust in the real estate sector of regulators, customers and the general public becomes more important, the ethical use of data becomes ever more essential. This is not an easy challenge, but one that must be addressed.

The challenge board

For this challenge there is no dedicated board as this is a fundamental part of the RED Foundation proposition and membership.

What we're doing

This year we are planning to carry out the following activities:

  • Define 'Real Estate Data Ethics principles' 

  • Create a resource library of best practice information about data ethics that allows any company in the real estate sector to make a start.

  • Ensure that all members of the RED Foundation agree to work towards the RED Foundation Ethics Principles
